Eco-Logic rebrand

The Enviropaedia established the Annual Eco-Logic Awards in 2011, which have since grown into South Africa’s most Glamorously Green eco-calendar event, receiving extensive TV, radio, print media and online coverage. Each year, they invite individuals and organisations to submit their eco-logical products, services, projects or initiatives under 13 environmental categories to be evaluated by a panel of highly respected and environmentally aware Judges.

The Ethical Agency first worked with the Eco-Logic Awards in 2022 and ramped up involvement in 2023 with a complete redesign of their marketing efforts, including the logo. The original logo of the head coming out of a plant was significant because we human beings are a part of, not separate from nature, and in fact, just one of the wonderful varieties of life-forms that share this beautiful and precious Earth. Therefore, for the founders of the awards, it was important to keep the initial and true essence of the brand and our brief was to develop an evolution, and not a revolution, of the brand.

What we managed to achieve was a dramatic refresh without a major departure, resulting in a modern, fun and fresh visual aesthetic that matches the dramatic and playful feeling of the Awards. The Awards ceremony, which has for the past two years taken place at Cape Town’s Two Oceans Aquarium, is an impressive, inspirational, yet very classy affair, to which our TEA was in full attendance.
