Learning for Influence Methodology

The Ethical Agency are publication design specialists and enjoyed the opportunity to design in a unique style beyond our usual work. The Publication design was conceptualised as an illustrative style combining illustrations and photographic content.

The Learning for Influence methodology is for development organizations that want to understand better the change processes that they contribute to, the policy change they engage in, how they can influence policy change, and how the individuals in the organizations themselves are changing.

The methodology helps organizations document their knowledge of the change processes they aim to influence by helping them articulate their values and using narratives and storytelling to show how they create impact. Through storytelling within a complexity framing, experiences can be captured and articulated that may have been missed by other monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) approaches.

The Learning for Influence methodology was developed through an iterative pilot process with the International Education Association (IEA) Lebanon and the FIT-ED, through a grant from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada.
